CEREC is one of the most exciting breakthroughs in modern dentistry. CAD/CAM (Computer Assisted Design/ Computer Assisted Manufacturing) captures a picture of the damaged tooth, then mills the restoration out of a block of porcelain. We then bond the crown/filling to your tooth and are finished! This computer system allows us to generate superb quality porcelain (crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers. endo-crowns) in a single visit.
Here below are the steps of the procedure:
Step 1: Scan
Sparing the discomfort of a conventional impression paste, we use the CEREC Omnicam, our small color camera, for precise 3D images in natural color.
Step 2: Design
After analyzing the complete scan, the CEREC software generates outstanding fillings/ caps proposals through the simple and visually appealing user interface.
Step 3: Produce
The CEREC grinding and milling unit and CEREC software are optimally matched. Milling/grinding the (block of porcelain) crown or veneer design is extremely precise, giving the final cap smooth surfaces and edges and very fine fissures.
Step 4: Sinter and glaze
Full-contour porcelain veneers are sintered and glazed chairside in the compact CEREC SpeedFire. The induction technology allows unparalleled short sintering and firing times.

Patients' concerns nowadays is moreabout exposure to radiation. Digital radiography typically reduces radiation exposure by 75% or more than conventional radiography. That means we care about your safety and well being. With hard sensor digital images, the time from exposing the sensor to radiation and viewing digital images is decreased. As soon as the x-ray machine exposure button is pressed, the digital high quality image appears on the computer screen and helps the dentist in educating their patient as they discuss the images displayed , instead of a view box.
It is a two-dimensional (2-D) dental x-ray examination that captures the entire mouth in a single image, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures and tissues. ... It usually provides details of the bones and teeth.
A panoramic dental x-ray uses a very small dose of ionizing radiation and may be used to plan treatment for dentures, braces, extractions and implants.
This exam requires little to no special preparation. Tell your dentist if there is a possibility you are pregnant. Remove any jewelry, eyeglasses or metal objects that might interfere with the x-ray images. You will be asked to wear a lead apron to protect the rest of your body from any radiation exposure.
